June 1^st 2009 The Shedh Network successfully acquired the CE Network and also the game Amazon-Survival for an undisclosed fee. Both mdshare of the CE Network and Shedh from The Shedh Network refuse to comment on what type of agreement has been made for the acquiring of the CE Network and Amazon-Survival.

The Shedh Network acquires the CE Network!

The CE Network is rumoured to be worth around the price of $80,000+ USD. The CE Network has long been the leader in the PHP Game Development community and the ownership transfer to The Shedh Network is sure to surpass its lead in the Game Developing world. The Shedh Network plans to take things to a whole new level, surpassing all opposition.

The CE Network currently consists of many different sites. Each site is aimed at the online gaming community, with thousands of users visiting each site every day.

The Shedh Network officially started in the February of 2008, and the CE Network started in April 2006. What is this ?

The CE sponsorship program will give aspiring web or game owners a shared server account on a dedicated server at no cost.

How does it work?

• Aspiring web and/or game owners will be able to submit their project/idea.
• Sponsors will be able to select a project/idea to fund aka donate to.
• If the funding goal is reached hosting will be provided to the person looking for sponsorship.

What’s in it for the sponsor(s)?

• A requirement will be that people using this service will display the banner/link of the sponsor on all pages of the project.
• Will there be a minimum to sponsor a project, minimum will be $25 to donate max $1000

What happens with the donated money?

•  The donated money will be used to maintain, upgrade or get additional dedicated servers when the need arises.
•  A top level domain will be purchased for the sponsored project. 

Who owns the domain that gets sponsored ?

• The domain is owned by the CE Network for a period of 6 months, this to secure the banner/link advertising of the sponsor. After 6 months, ownership of the domain name gets transferd to the project owner.

Applicant requirements

This is a small segment of the requirements of the applicant to be sponsored.

• You have to keep your project alive, if no changes happen in a time span of 3 months the account will be locked.
• Pirated scripts will not be tollerated
• You can’t change your project to something different, eg if it’s a new game engine you build stick with it don’t switch to eg mccode
• You have to display on all pages of your project the sponsor(s) banners/links

What is the risk for a sponsor ?

• The risk is that a applicants project you choose to sponsor will not get a lot of traffic, so in other words your banner/link will not be seen much. However a applicants project could grow out to a top site that delivers a lot of exposure for your banner/link.

• The website for this project is currently still under development but close to be launched. The url will be announced soon.

Ultimate Games Portal

The concept of this new “shared advertising” is it will not generate any revenue directly from the site into my own pocket, however on the site there are 8 advertising spaces reserved for CE, thus CE will receive exposure as well as the people advertising on the site. This in return means extra exposure for the CE Network and reduce my sites ad budget.

The break down of cost’s for the site go like so..

Out of the income from advertisers placing their ads on the site 80% will be invested into advertising on sites such as, apex, gao, reachads, adtoll, ad2games, cpmstar, etc… Leaving 20% of the income to pay for all site costs.

For example:

If the sites revenue was $1,000 80% ($800) will pay for the advertising of the site, leaving $200 (20%) for the running costs.

With allot of start up games being unable to pay for extensive advertising they only have to pay a fraction of the cost for similar exposure, in fact more exposure as $800 worth of advertising for the site will generate more visitors than $50 that the game owner might invest else where.

Another question that may come to light and be asked by a advertiser is what happens when games have filled all places on the site, there will be no revenue for the site as no money will be going into the advertising of the site and the site will gradually die.

Each year I see over 1500 new browsergames popup and die, only a handfull remain alive. So this is overcome by the amount of games that start and die within a few months meaning there will always be free ad places to be bought.

The CE Network started interviewing people from the browser game industry particalarly PBBGs.

Our first interview has been done with Game Engine and Game Developer Alain Bertrand, creator of the NEaB game and engine. 

The interview has been a massive success, in less than 12h more than 1000 people have read the interview. Which is relative good as this is a new segment of CE.
